Well here it is the day after Christmas . . .what a relief. We shopped -we wrapped-WE OPENED-we shopped-we cooked-WE ATE! and ate and ate. But oh what fun we had. The big finale of it all was last night at the Cox Family party . The wild crazy gift exchange game. You know we used to get hurt when no one wanted our gift but now its just funny. There were no tears, no fights, no major upsets - just fun. I for one really enjoyed the evening even though we came home with wild animal sausages. I'm glad Lily and Jeff got the dreaded fertility shield even though Rick & Sharon started out with it. No one wanted Ashley's Colon cleaner, or Josh's framed autograped picture (little did we know there was money hidden under the picture) and I'm suprised none of you girls fought for the "Twilight" poster Cindy got. But maybe you all have it already. Anyway the hi light of the evening for me was when the posterity of Grandpa Cox was honored by him thru Grandma Cox. Even with all of the clues leading up to this event I don't think any of us really guessed what it was going to be. Everyone knows that Grandpa wasn't a rich man - but he was rich with blessings. His blessings were his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. I know he is so proud of his family. Thank you mom for reminding us of the things he did, the things he accomplished and the things he loved. When I look at all of his grandchildren and watch their sense of humors, their love of life, their kindness, and their love for their Grandma - I see Grandpa Cox. One last thing, Thank you Aunt Deby for letting us all meet at your house for this party. I'm sure we leave you with such a big mess and I'm sorry - but we appreciate you letting us gather in your beautiful home.
